Constitution Day

September 17, 2005 is Constitution Day, the birthday of our government. School and federal
agencies are required to hold educational programs about the Constitution on this day. We celebrate
the Constitution to remind us of the ideas that make us Americans.

On this website, you’ll be able to get more background on Constitution
Day as well as download lesson plans, learning tool kits and flash cards.
- Sign up for a SCCOE
Professional Development Class titled "Celebrate the Constitution." The
class takes place on September 13, 2005 at the SCCOE Offices from 4:00pm –
7:00pm. Registration ends September 7, 2005. In this class, you'll
receive Constitution Day lesson plans for elementary, middle and high
school.
